London based producer, Kai van Dongen, has hugely impressed in a short space of time, with key releases dropping on labels like 1ØPILLS MATE, Truncate and BLK DRP. On his debut for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, van Dongen tees up a trio of funky belters on the ‘Free Your Mind’ EP.

Lead track, ‘Free Your Mind’, cajoles some intense hypnotic sensations amongst its breakneck pace, incessant claps and rubbery synth stabs, whilst ‘The Sun’s Out’ doesn’t drop the energy levels for one second, as fierce and hardcore tones rain down over crisp and precision beats. Closing this cracking release for EI8HT, van Dongen parades more of his techno chops on ‘We Will Chat’ and confirms that this is one artist who is going to go from strength to strength over the coming months.
